Brenda L. Holyoke

Troy-----Brenda L. Holyoke, 59 of Troy, NY, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, March 18, 2018 surrounded by family and friends. God has now taken his loving angel Brenda home, as her work on Earth was done.


She was born in Brockton, MA, the daughter of the late Walter and Joanne (Forester) Holyoke Sr. She was raised in West Bridgewater, MA and later moved to Troy, where she spent most of her life with her loving life partner Christopher Ryan.


Brenda enjoyed spending quite days with Chris and their dog Riley. Brenda was employed by CEO in Troy, NY for 27 years, where she impacted, mentored and shaped the lives of so many. She was also a friend of Bill W for 31 years.


She is survived by her life long partner, Christopher Ryan; her children: Scott Holyoke (Tori) of FL, Shawn Holyoke of TN, Kristina Holyoke of MA, Korrinne Robinson-Marton (Nick) of Troy and Timothy Ryan of Troy; her stepchildren: JP Ryan (Missy) of Glenville, Eric Ryan (fiancé Shannon) of Troy, Shawn Ryan (Jenna) of WA; siblings: John and Robert Holyoke of MA, Joyce Relleva of MA, Sandra Maxim and Leslye Iverson of FL, Martin Packard and Susann Gallagher of MA, Jodi Florio and Cheryl Proude of MA and Kamala Rowell of MA, Walter Holyoke, of MA and their spouses. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.


Relatives and friends are invited to attend her calling hours on Saturday March 24, 2018 from 12:00 - 3:00 p.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet, NY. A service will follow at 3 p.m. Interment will be graveside on Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at St. Mary's Cemetery, Troy, NY.


In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Brenda's name to the Mohawk & Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Avenue, Menands, NY 12204.
