Mary Anne Pinkans , 73, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 13, 2015 at home with her loving family by her side.
Mary Anne was the daughter of the late John and Rita Mary Roman.
Mary Anne was the devoted wife to the late Bernard Pinkans. They were married for over 44 years.
Mary Anne worked for many years with the New York State, Department of Transportation as a computer programmer.
She was also a proud member of the VFW Weininger Post #8692 Ladies Auxiliary and the Zaloga Post - American Legion.
Mary Anne enjoyed spending time with her entire family especially her granddaughters. She also loved spending her summers on the lake.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Mary Anne was predeceased by her granddaughter Jessica and her sisters; Rita Goyette and Christine Roman.
Mary Anne is survived by her sons, Joseph (Kerri) Pinkans and Michael (Kelly) Pinkans. She is the cherished grandmother of Jennifer (Nick) Alden, Jessica Pinkans, Kylie Pinkans, Kaitlyn Pinkans and her adored great granddaughter Ameila Alden. She is also survived by her dear nieces, whom she shared a special relationship with; Michele and Stephanie along with many other beloved nieces, nephews, uncle and cousins.
Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Judes Children's Research Hospital 262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis, TN 38105 in Mary Anne's memory.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 18, 2015 at 11:00 am at St. Paul the Apostle 2733 Albany Street, Schenectady, NY 12304. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2015 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow the Mass in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Colonie.
