Edwin M. Sherman

Troy- Edwin Mark "Marty" Sherman, 75, passed away peacefully on November 21st, 2015 at Hoosick Falls Nursing and Rehab Center. He was born to the late Edward and Bessie Mae Korth -Sherman.

Marty attended Troy High School. Upon graduating he served in the U.S. Airforce as Air police. When he returned from his service, he worked a long career as a sheet metal welder for W T LaRose in Cohoes, NY. In his free time, Marty enjoyed fishing, watching football, boxing, watching Army/Western movies, wrestling, and was an avid New York Yankees fan.

He will be forever missed by his sons; Manuel and Barbara Mabee, Mark and Caroline Sherman, Richard and Maria Guadalupe- Sherman, Robert Sherman, and Steven Sherman, grand children; Nicole Mabee, Richard Caleb Sherman, Kayleigh Rigney, and Chelsea Sherman, great grand daughter, Olivia Rigney, former spouse, Evelyn Mabee-Sherman, siblings; Donald Sherman, Joanne Sherman, June Luce, Jean Upton, Janette Garner, along with many loving nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents Marty was predeceased by his brothers; Robert Livolsi, William Sherman, and John Sherman, and his sister, Diane Gordon, and his grand son and fishing buddy, Andrew Sherman.

A Memorial Service will be held at New Comer Funeral Home, Albany, on November 30th at 8:30am to 10:30am with a burial to take place following at the G .H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Saratoga, NY.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Community Hospice of Rensselaer County in Marty's name.
