Alice M. Walas

Guilderland- Alice M. Walas, 91, passed peacefully Friday, May 13 at Our Lady of Mercy Life Center. Born in Albany, living here all of her life, she was employed by the Albany County Department of Aging for many years and enjoyed being a foster grandparent.
Ms. Walas is survived by her son, Michael Walas of Colonie, daughters Susan Hildreth and Linda VanAuken (Clifford) of Altamont; and by eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren, and two great, great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son Robert Walas and four brothers and a sister.
Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Entombment will be at St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
