Audley Lawrence Sealy

October 25, 1964 — July 14, 2016

Audley Lawrence Sealy also known as "Al" was born on October 25 1964 a day he celebrated twice a day when the clock hit 10:25. Audley was born in St. John's Barbados to Verona Marshall (Sealy) and Lemuel Codrington the youngest of their five children.

Audley migrated to Brooklyn NY with his family at the age of 5 years old. He completed his education through the NYC public school system and subsequently enlisted in the United States Army. He was a handy man by trade and truly became a jack-of-all-trades. He loved to build and fix things. He could even make a bike from scratch with his own hands. In his spare time Audley loved to cook AND eat, watch old movies, sing oldies, play trivia and was a Scrabble whiz.

In 1998, Audley moved once more to Upstate NY. Unbeknownst to either of them that same year the future love of his life made her way up to Albany to claim it as her new home. Over the years, Audley has worked for various businesses, Lortex Corporation, Guardian Concrete, Tomra New York Recycling, Yank Waste Paper Recycling Company Inc most recently Albany County Sheriffs Department.

In 2009, ten years after their move, Audley met Audrey at Christ Church of Albany, where Audley became a member. On July 6th 2013 they made their love story complete joining in holy matrimony and uniting their families.

Audley had a warm open heart and was loved everywhere he went. He could spark up a conversation with anyone anywhere about anything. During Sunday services, Audley would be the last to sit down during meet and greet making sure he connected with all in attendance. Never losing his own youthful spirit, he had a special affinity to children. Affectionately, called G-pa by his godchildren, he cared for, encouraged and supported not only his children but also their friends and any other child. He was a faithful volunteer at Alpha Pregnancy Care Center where interacted with young parents and their babies and he never failed to brighten someone's day with his infectious joy.

On July 14th 2016, Audley suddenly departed this life leaving his wife: Audrey, his sons: Micheal and Aaron, his siblings: Trevor, Emmerson, Pearson (Eric), Stephanie, Shernell, his nieces and nephews Gloria, Sharifa, Kwesi , Ayodele, Dr. Hadiyah, Janine, Lanielle, Terrance, Shaunte, Adrian, Emmerson (Jr), Akin, Cristy Ann and a host of other nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and godchildren to cherish his memory. He has gone on to meet his mother Verona, his father Lemuel, his sisters Grace and Beverly.

Audley was always the life of the party and we hope to celebrate his life in that same fashion.

Lovingly Submitted by his family
