Josephine R. Logiudice

GUILDERLAND- Josephine R. "Josie" LoGiudice, 50, passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at St. Peter's Hospice Inn with her family by her side after a courageous battle with breast cancer.

Josie was born in Albany, NY on October 20, 1965, to her loving parents, Dante and Louise Calogero. Josie enjoyed cooking delicious meals, spending time with her family, vacationing in Ocean City, MD, and caring for her flower gardens. Before her illness, Josie worked as a social worker for the Ann Lee Home for many years before transferring to the Albany County Nursing Home as Director of Admissions.

Josie is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Daniele; her children, Donovan (Sarah) LoGiudice, Alexandra (Christopher) DeRouville, and Madeline, Nicole, Joshua, and Daniel LoGiudice; her sisters, Mary (William) Shell, Donna Calogero, and Louise (Todd Dugan) Calogero; her mother-in-law, Amalia LoGiudice; her in-laws, Tindaro (Gianna) LoGiudice, Santino (Francesca) LoGiudice, Maria (Elio) Smiroldo, and Carmelina Rios; many nieces and nephews, family and friends. She is predeceased by her father-in-law Giuseppe LoGiudice.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205 on Sunday, July 31, 2016 from 4:00pm-7:00pm. A mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Madeleine Sophie Church, 3500 Carman Road, Schenectady, NY 12303 on Monday, August 1, 2016 at 11:30am. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie, NY.
