COLONIE - David Charles Boice, 68, passed away on Friday, August 5, 2016 in Nanuet, NY.
David was born on October 15, 1947 in Poughkeepsie, NY and was the son of the late Ralph and Myrtle (Devens) Boice. He served in the US Coast Guard from 1967 to 1971, attaining the rank of Petty Officer 3rd Class. He worked as a truck driver for Dennis Fink Auto Transport in Germantown, NY for many years before retiring. He enjoyed being outside, riding his motorcycle with his biker friends. He love horses, his time when he was a jockey racing horses at Saratoga race track.
David is survived by his children, Hans Boice, Heather Decker, Heidi Richter, and Holly Burgazoli; his siblings, R. Ernest (Karen) Boice, Karen (Todd) Boice and Todd (Nancy Bramkamp) Boice; his former wife, Donna (Hanson) Boice; his grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, August 22, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Interment and military honors will follow at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville, NY.
