Colonie- Angelo Raponi, 68, passed away surrounded by family on November 17, 2016 in the Hospice Inn. The son of Antonia and the late Orlando Raponi, he was born March 3, 1948 Carpineto, Roma, Italy and lived there until he was 8. Then with his family, he immigrated to Melbourne, Australia where he completed his education. Angelo then arrived in the United States via Ellis Island, and became a US citizen. He met and married Regina Patricelli in 1971. He was a long time member of Ironworkers Local#12 retiring in May of 2003. Angelo was an avid animal lover who enjoyed bowling but his true passion was being outdoors. His favorite activities were fishing, hunting, boating or tending to his garden. Angelo loved his Yankees, the Buffalo Bills, and westerns on TV. He was a Communicate of the Church of St. Clare.
In addition to his mother, Angelo is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Regina. He was the proud father of Christopher (Sara), Angela Fink (Robert), Timothy (Andrea), and Theresa Lewis (Dustin) and 8 grandchildren who were the light of his life: Giovanna and Viviana Raponi, Zachary and Alexander Fink, Maximus and Benjamin Raponi, Isabelle and Maya Lewis.; he was brother to Lucy Hubicki (Clarence), and Peter Raponi (Christina), brother-in-law to Charles (Lynn) Patricelli, Martin (Barbara) Pielo, and the late Nancy Pielo. He was the uncle to 9 nieces and nephews as well as a great-uncle to 5 great-nieces and a great-nephew. Angelo is also survived by his Aunt and Uncle and several cousins.

A funeral mass will be held at the church of St Clare in Colonie on Monday, November 21, 2016 at 9:30 am. Burial will follow at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery in Niskayuna. There will be no calling hours. In
lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Church of St. Clare, 1947 Central Ave, Albany, NY 12205.
