Altamont- Shirley J. Mizener, 91, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 3, 2017. Shirley was the daughter of the late Eugene and Helen Radcliff, and was the devoted wife of 48 years to Gordon Mizener.
Shirley enjoyed reading, doing crafts, bowling (where she met her beloved husband), and camping. To know Shirley, was to love her, and she will be dearly missed.
Along with her loving husband Gordon, Shirley is survived by her sister in law, Phyllis Adams, nephews, Harry Adams, and Randall Gabriel, and nieces, Ann Marie Dubach, and Barbara (Paul) Peterson.
A calling hour will be held at New Comer Funerals & Cremations, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, on Monday, April 10, 2017 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. A service will be held after the calling hour at 11:00 am. The burial will take place following services at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Colonie.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations may be made in Shirley's name to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society at: 3 Oakland Ave, Menands, NY 12204.
