Celia Bell
July 3, 1963 — June 12, 2017
Troy- Celia Bell, 53, lost her battle with Ovarian cancer on Monday, June 12, 2017 with her family by her side. She was the daughter of the late Juan S. and Marion E. (Collett) Mattey. She is survived by her loving husband, James M. Bell.
Celia was a graduate of Catholic Central High School. She was a former department manager at Walmart in Troy. Celia enjoyed spending time with her family especially her children and grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Celia is survived by her two daughters, Crystal & Jennifer Bell (Grant) and her son, Zachary Smith. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Alonso & Donovan LaPlante, Isaac Sousie, Serenity, Makaya and Adrina Wheeler,. Celia also leaves behind her siblings, John Mattey (Angie), Juanita (Mattey) Maffetore (Charles), Rosamaria (Mattey) Cain, Paul Mattey Sr. (Beth), William "Will" Mattey and George Mattey (Tammie), as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
She is also predeceased by her sister, Marion E. (Mattey) Smith.
A Mass of Christian Burial for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at 11:00am at St. Augustine's Catholic Church, 25 115th St, Troy, NY 12182. Interment will follow at St. John's Cemetery.
