Stephen F. DeLorenzo, 68, passed away on Wednesday, August 30, 2017.
Stephen was the son of the late Carmen DeLorenzo and Rose Della Posta. Stephen was the devoted husband to Robin DeLorenzo.
Steve earned two Master's Degrees from SUNY Albany. He was employed by Maria College for 44 years where he was professor of biology, chemistry and computer science. Affectionately known as "Mr. D" by his students, he retired as professor emeritus in January 2014.
Steve enjoyed spending time with his family, playing games, photography, and camping. He had a sarcastic sense of humor which everyone loved.
Stephen is survived by his wife Robin DeLorenzo, his children; Jennifer DeLorenzo (Matthew Honsinger) Phillip (Bry-Ann) DeLorenzo, Tina (Eric) Badrick, Rachael (Adam) Mullen, Kristin (Kyle) Pucci, Megan (Dan) Rigney, and Kevin (Arianna) Parente. Nine grandchildren; Darwin, Isaac, Anthony, Landon, Kamryn, Kaleigh, Alex, Vincent and Addy.
Also survived by his sister Diane (Michael) Drozinski. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd, Colonie, on Sunday September 3, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. A service will follow the calling hours at the funeral home at 5 p.m.
The Family would like to thank everyone at the C3 East Floor at Albany Medical Center (Transplant Floor).
