McKOWNVILLE - Lillian "Lynn" Wilson, 92, formerly of McKownville, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2018.
She was born in Watervliet, NY and was the daughter of the late Frank P. and Elizabeth V. O'Brien. In 1946 Lynn married James T. Wilson, Jr. After raising her family she began her career with the NYS DMV, retiring after 25 years as the Supervisor of the Title Department.
Lynn was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to many. She most cherished the time she spent with her family. Lynn enjoyed traveling with her husband throughout Europe and the Caribbean as well as beginning the yearly tradition of a family trip to Ogunquit Maine.
She will be remembered as a strong, kind-hearted person of unwavering faith. A woman who was selflessly committed to her family. She had a deep appreciation for history and was very proud of her Irish heritage. She will be greatly missed by all those who had the privilege to know and love her.
Lynn was predeceased by her beloved husband of 67 years, James and her sisters, Virginia and Catherine
She is the devoted mother of Dr. Susan Wilson O'Brien, Brian (Julie) Wilson, Barbara Wilson (Robert) Keller and James T. (Meg) Wilson III, M.D. She is the cherished grandmother of Shelby (Ryan) Moore, Molly, Jessica and Ben Wilson and Lindsey and Owen Miller and the proud great-grandmother of Lyla Ann and Savannah Lynn and her siblings, Dr. James (Stella) O'Brien and Patricia (Wayne) Barnes.
A private graveside service was held at St Agnes cemetery on May 12th where Lynn was laid to rest with her beloved husband Jim
