ROTTERDAM- Violet E. Rose, 84, passed away on Thursday, July 12, 2018 surrounded by the love of her family.
Violet was born in Schenectady, NY, on March 18, 1934 to the late George and Edith Minshell. She was a graduate of Draper High School, and she was a loyal employee of G.E. in Schenectady, and she retired from Galesi Group as a security Guard with over 17 years of service. Violet will be remembered for her tough personality, and her love of animals, especially horses and dogs. Her passion in life was her family.
Violet is predeceased by her brother, Donald Minshell.
She is survived by her children, Roger Rose, and Darwin Rose, her granddaughter, Sabrina (Ryan) Kent.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205, on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 from 4:00pm-7:00pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 18, 2018, at 10:00am. Burial will be held at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Guilderland, NY.
