SCHENECTADY-Walter R. Miller, 94, passed away on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 surrounded by the love of his family.
Walter was born in Albany, NY on September 18, 1924 to the late Walter and Mathilde Miller. Walter served his country honorably in the United States Navy during WWII. On November 11, 1964 Walter married the love of his life, Barbara Miller. They were married for 54 years. He was a loyal employee to Knolls Atomic Power Lab in Niskayuna for over 40 years.
Walter is predeceased by his brothers, William and Robert Miller, and his son, Alan Miller.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara Miller, his children, Deborah (Gerry) Eddy, and Dennis (Miriam) Miller, his grandchildren, Nicholas, Daniel, and Jack, his five great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205 on Friday, December 7, 2018, from 9:30am-10:30am, with a service to immediately follow. Burial will be held at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Saratoga, NY.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Walter's name to the charity of your choice.
