Delanson-Mark J. Ferrara, age 62, suddenly passed away surrounded by his family December 12, 2018 at Albany Medical Center. He was born in Schenectady, the son of the late Arthur Ferrara and Lillian Dignon-Ferrara.
Mark was an outside Salesman for NAPA Schenectady Unit Parts & Schenectady Truck & Auto for 45 years. He was a 25 year member and past Chief of the Delanson Fire Dept. He was an avid motorcyclist, enjoyed restoring classic cars, and boating in the Adirondacks with his family.
Mark is survived by his wife, Diane; four children: Kristopher (Tina) Ferrara, Jacqueline (Thomas) Neville, Maj. Valarie (Jared) Ferrara, USAF and Anthony (Marisa) Ferrara; five granddaughters: Zoey, Kristina, Lauren Grace, Aoife, Juliana and sister, Karen Ferrara. Also survived by an aunt, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Sunday, December 16 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet, NY. Interment will be private.
