Roger S. Gilliam, 58, of Albany, passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2019 at Albany Medical Center. Born in Albany on May 17, 1961, Roger was the son of Gordon E. Gilliam and the late Hope Mae (Blackmoor) Gilliam.
In addition to his father, survivors include his siblings; Gordon Gilliam, Sr., Douglas Edward Gilliam, Sheila Marie Gilliam and Ricky Gilliam. A host of relatives and friends also survive. We wish to remember Roger for his kind and gentle spirit, despite his struggle with mental illness for the majority of his life. He was known as a caring and giving friend to all who knew him.
Relatives and friends may call from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Friday July 12th at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, where a funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm in the funeral home.
