Rensselaer- Mary Louise Gilmore Mallory, 75, of Rensselaer N.Y. entered into eternal life on September 21, 2019. Born in Laurel MS she was the daughter of the late Rev. Irving & Willie Mae (Trotter) Gilmore.
She attended Mount Olive High School in Laurel MS and later attended Mildred Elley College in Albany N.Y.
Mary Louise worked throughout the Capital District in numerous positions including the V.A. Hospital, Albany Medical Center, Parsons Child & Family Center, Vanderheyden, Equinox and St. Anne Institute, retiring in 1996.
She enjoyed gardening and was an avid reader. Most importantly Mary Louise had a passion for life and helping embattled youth with her unrivaled greatest joy being spending time with and nurturing her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mary Louise is survived by her children Vivian (Dazzle) Hawkins, Renee Gilmore-Copeland, Jonathan B. (Crystal) Mallory, Tesha Mallory, Jermain Mallory and Tracie Mallory; grandchildren: Stephanie Stallings, Kara Stallings, B'jon Gilmore, Crystal Stallings, Daquan McCall, DeVaughn Mallory, Jaziah Mallory, Harmony Mallory, Messiah Mallory, Elijah Mallory, Terrance Mallory, Destiny Mallory, Adrian Mallory and Karma Mallory; great-grandchildren: Tyjon Gilmore, Jerelle Gilmore, Angel Stalling, Lorenzo Pena, Aadi Gilmore as well as her siblings: Ernestine, Joseph, Mary, Thomas, Barbara, Alice, Carolyn, Gayla and several nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her husband of 32 years, Johnie B. Mallory, brother Earlie Gilmore, sister Laura Morton, brother Jerry Gilmore and grandson Mershon Johnson.
Celebration of Life Services for Mary Louise Gilmore-Mallory will be celebrated on Monday September 30, 2019 with calling hours at 9 AM and services at 10 AM, at Revelation Church of God in Christ located at 258 Orange Street in Albany N.Y.
