Peter Justin Tice

October 13, 1957 — December 13, 2019

LATHAM – Peter Justin Tice, 62, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 13, 2019 at his home.

Peter was born on October 13, 1957 in Rockville Centre and was the son of the late Leroy Edward and Rose Rachel (Licata) Tice. He was a registered nurse at the Stratton VA Hospital for many years before retiring.

Peter loved watching his children play sports. He would spend hours in the yard pitching to his son or drive hundreds of miles to watch his oldest play soccer. His children were his world. He was an amazing cook, loved reading and music (both rock and jazz). He was a huge New York Yankees fan and loved to watch baseball. He was a kind man with an extremely dry sense of humor.

Peter is survived by his loving wife of 11 years, Megan M. Vaughan; his children, Erik Tice (Megan), Rory Tice (Sophie), Collin Tice, Ronan Tice and Keira Tice; his step-children, Christopher Peterson, Andrew Peterson, Rachel Peterson and Maeve Peterson; his siblings, Michael Tice (Cathy) and Laurie Tice Neu (Andy); his sister-in-law, Maggie Tice and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Peter was predeceased by his brothers, Lee Tice and Gregory Tice.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, December 20, 2019, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice or the Alzheimer's Association in memory of Peter.
