Robert Bump, 71, of Schenectady, passed away peacefully Sunday February 2, 2020 at home. Robert was the son of the late Edgar E. Bump and Nina Hallock. Born in Fort Meade, MD, he moved to New York as a child.
Robert worked for Children and Family services as a transportation aid. In his free time, Robert loved working on cars.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Gail; 3 children Robert Bump Jr, Jennifer DeGrocco, and Allison Bump, two sisters, Sharon Becker and Joanne Bauer. In addition, Robert leaves behind 7 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and several nephews and a niece.
Robert is predeceased by brothers, Dale Bump, Edgar Bump Jr, and sister Darlene Knowlton.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday February 9, 2020 from 2pm to 4pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie.
