Patricia A. Whiting

October 19, 1954 — May 25, 2022

Patricia A. Whiting, 67, of Schenectady, was called to rest on May 25, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born on October 19, 1954, Patricia was an Albany native. She remained a life-long resident of the capital district where she married and raised her family.

Patricia A. Whiting touched the lives of everyone who knew her. She loved to spend her time visiting with family and looked forward to yearly camping trips with her husband and extended family. However, her greatest passion in life was being a homemaker and caretaker for her family. Anyone who knew Patricia knew her greatest quality was her selfless desire to take care of everyone around her. She was loved and adorned by all who knew her and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Kenneth E. Whiting; children, Earl Nicholson (Cortney), Rich Whiting (Jessica), Jeremy Whiting, Angela Whiting, and Alicia Whiting; her grandchildren, Felicia Marx, Breanna Marx, Earl Nicholson (Kaitlyn), Bianca Marx, Makenna Calleja (Antonio), Abigail Nicholson, Sydney Nicholson, Cade Whiting, Emmy Nicholson, Ethan Whiting, Brady Nicholson, Mehki Whiting, Kenny Whiting, and Savannah Whiting; and great-grandchildren Claire Calleja and Ivy Nicholson; and bother, Dennis Smolinski.

She is predeceased by her parents, Harry Smolinski and Mary Reilly, and her siblings Steven Smolinski and Michael Smolinski.

Visitation is private.
