Ronald Davis, of Amsterdam, NY, died peacefully on Saturday, July 2nd, at Albany Medical Center Hospital a few months after being diagnosed with colon cancer. He was 65 years old.

Ron was born to the late Willie Myers Davis and Bernice Davis on Nov. 12, 1956, and grew up in Hudson, NY, where he attended public schools. He worked for many years as a supervisor at the NYS Dept of Taxation and Finance in Albany and then at Davis Vision Center and Beacon Health Options after his retirement from the state.

Ron was a highly intelligent and deeply caring man who made a strong impression on all who knew him. He loved Jazz music, good food, basketball and football, reading, and beautiful surroundings. Ron was a dedicated family man, and was especially devoted to his only grandchild, Bell, who will miss the loving time they spent together. He is also survived by two sons, Kellen of Albany, and Quentin of Latham; best friend Angeline Riccardi of Amsterdam; six siblings; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends. Ron's larger-than-life presence and his giving nature will be remembered by the many people whose lives he touched.

A visitation will be held on Saturday August 13th from 1-2pm with a service starting at 2pm, at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd, Colonie NY 12205
