Alice M. King, 90, wife of the late Melvin S. King of Glenville, passed away peacefully Monday, November 14, 2022, at Ellis Hospital.
Born July 27, 1932, in Newport, Rhode Island, she was the son of the late William. and Rose Mitchell.
Alice attended Rogers High School. She worked as a Clerk and Manager for several specialty food markets, most notably Vallencourt's in Newport. Alice retired and moved to Youngstown, Florida, and in 2021 moved to Glenville NY to be close to her son.
She is survived by her son William King and his wife Kathy of Schenectady, NY, her nephews David Flannagan, Robert Flannagan, Allen Flannagan and niece Amanda Corbitt of Youngstown, FL
The Family will hold a private viewing at Newcomer Funeral home in Watervliet NY, and a burial Service will be held at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery following the viewing.
Memorial donations in Her name may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital
In lieu of flowers, Memorial contribution may be made in Alice's name to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, by visiting www.stjude.org/donate.
