Peter C. Rushia

Peter C. Rushia, 76, passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2022 with his loving family by his side. Peter was the son of the late Clemis and Catherine Rushia.

Peter was the devoted husband of over 54 years to Barbara (Coons) Rushia.

He was an Army Veteran, who proudly served in the 1st Air Calvary in Vietnam.

He worked for Honeywell in Green Island for 32 years as a Machine Operator.

Peter enjoyed food, fishing, hunting, traveling, and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his daughter Wendy Lynn Rushia, his sister Sharon Rushia and his granddaughter Riley Rushia.

Peter is survived by his wife Barbara Rushia, his children, Mark (Claudia) Rushia, Daniel (Megan) Rushia, Jodi Rushia and Michele (Joseph) Fish, his grandchildren Gabrielle Rushia, Nathan Rushia and Nicholas Fish, his brother and sister David and Jennifer Rushia. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Rd., Watervliet, NY on Thursday December 29, 2022 from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm. A funeral service will follow at 12:30 pm at the funeral home . Burial will follow the service at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, NY at 2:30 pm.
