Bernadene M. Bowers, 76, of Voorheesville, passed away on December 12, 2023 at St. Peter's Nursing and Rehab.
She was born on December 8, 1947 in Cleveland, OH.
Bernadene was a graduate of Kent State University in Ohio. She taught Kindergarten in the Bethlehem School District at Hamagrael School for over 30 years. During her tenure she won the 1996 NYS Department of Education Better Beginnings Award. She was known for the creation of an early childhood education program.
Bernadene was an avid skier, ballroom dancer and golfer.
She is survived by her loving husband of 15 years Donald L. Bowers of Voorheesville,NY, her Step Daughter, Falin Bowers of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Step Son Clint W. Stomski of Ballston Spa, NY.
Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association - Northeastern New York Chapter.
