Michael McKaig, 60, of Middleburgh, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on May 3, 2024.
He was born in Albany on October 18, 1963 to Viola McKaig and the late Kenneth McKaig.
In his spare time, Michael loved to be outdoors, hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed football and racing. Michael loved to be with his friends and family. He would also drag his wife to the casino every week to get in his gambling fix. Michael was a thrill seeker and loved going to theme parks. Some of his favorite words of wisdom were "Drive it like you stole it" and "Use your head for more than a hat rack". He always had a smile on his face and was there for anyone in need, no matter the ask. He will be missed dearly.
Michael is survived by his loving wife of 7 years, Sandra and was a loving father to his son Spencer McKaig. He is also survived by his step son Ben Jaquish, his sister Marsha (Paul) Deere, brother Kenneth McKaig Jr, mother Viola McKaig, and several nieces.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday May 7th from 4pm-7pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, Colonie, New York.
