Wayne Bouck

d. January 3, 2010

ALTAMONT – Wayne Bouck, 62, of Altamont, entered into the arms of the Lord on Sunday, January 3, 2010, after being stricken at home with his wife Mary by his side.
Wayne was born in Schenectady and was the son of the late Lyman and Alice (Williams) Bouck. He was a 1965 graduate of Mount Pleasant High School. He served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. Upon returning, Wayne went to work for General Electric where he worked tirelessly for "his girls". Papa Wayne's greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren where he would enter into their world and play pretend endlessly.
Wayne was an avid Yankee fan – collecting and trading memorabilia on eBay. He was also a great fan of the Food Network, obtaining and making new recipes which brought us hours of fun.
Before the onset of his illness, Wayne was a member of several veterans' organizations, the VFW Post 1895, the Tri County Counsel and a Charter Life member of the Veterans of Overseas Service Post #1.
In addition to his wife, Mary L. (Phelan) Bouck, Wayne is survived by his four daughters, Melissa of Rotterdam, Carrie (Anthony) of Rotterdam, Cathy (Tim) of Clifton Park and Allison of Altamont; his seven grandchildren, Carter, Alyssa, Kaitlin, Mackenzie, Tyler, Michael, and Baby Emma; his sister, Mardelle Attanaseo of Rotterdam; his brother, David (Patty) Bouck of Schenectady and a large loving extended family and well as many nieces and nephews. He enjoyed spending time and the holidays with Aunt Sis, Uncle Kenny and their children of Guilderland.
The family would like to extend a very heartfelt thanks to all those who responded from the Altamont Rescue Squad and Guilderland Paramedics who worked tirelessly for Wayne. We would also like to thank the Schenectady firemen from Station 4 for all their support and assistance to our family at a very difficult time.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.). Interment will follow at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Altamont Rescue Squad, 767 Route 146, Altamont, NY 12009 in memory of Wayne Bouck.
