WESTMERE – Jeanette J. Secor, 89, passed away on Friday, March 12, 2010 at The Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
Jeanette was born on October 27, 1920 in Jersey City, NJ and was the daughter of the late Peter and Stella (Kasuba) Kosmaczewski (Kosmo). She worked as a secretary for New York State Police at the Albany Campus for 20 years before retiring; prior to that she was a legal secretary for Sunshine and Barber. She was a member of Christ the King Church and enjoyed spending time with her family.
Jeanette is survived by her son, Jay F. Secor, Jr. of Guilderland; her daughter, Virginia M. Secor (Frank Herec) of Castleton; her grandchildren, Justin Secor-Rubenstein and Jessica Secor-Rubenstein both of East Greenbush; her sisters, Ida Powanda of Latham, Jennie "Jean" Chuckta of East Greenbush, Irene Riddleburgh of Westfield Center, OH and Julia Kelly of Elizaville, NY and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Jay F. Secor, Sr.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am Monday at Christ the King Church, 20 Sumpter Ave., Guilderland. Interment will follow at Albany Rural Cemetery in Menands. There will be no calling hours.
