DELMAR, NY – Angelo M. Domenico, 73, died on Friday, April 30, 2010 at the V.A. Medical Center in Albany, under the care of hospice. He was born in Albany on December 23, 1936 and is the son of Rockey Domenico of Ft. Myers, FL and the late James Domenico. Mr. Domenico was a U.S. Army veteran serving his country from 1955 through 1958. He was a butcher for several years and more recently, a cab driver for Capitaland Taxi. Angelo was a member of the American Legion in Delmar and the Men's Auxiliary at the V.F.W. Post #3185. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his daughters, Sandy (Russ Crounse) Clyne of Delmar, Cherie Smith of North Carolina and Sue (Shawn) Foust of Rochester, NY. He is the grandfather of Michael Grady of Tampa, FL, Bryan and Colleen Clyne of Delmar, Chad and Brooke Foust of Rochester and Tony Blodgett and Nick Domenico, both of North Carolina. He is the great-grandfather of Kaden Domenico and Cameron Blodgett of North Carolina. Angelo is the brother of Rose Domenico of Ft. Myers, Fl, Eugene Domenico of Denver, CO and James (Margaret) Domenico of Tacoma, WA. He was also predeceased by his sisters, Irene VanWormer and Peggy Connelly.
Funeral services will be Monday at 6:00 p.m. at New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will precede the service from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie.
