SCHENECTADY – Robert "Bob" R. Stewart, 78, passed away on Monday, October 18, 2010 at Ellis Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
Bob was born on October 4, 1932 in Wardsboro, VT and was the son of the late Elmer and Florence (Pardí) Stewart. He served in the US Army from 1952 to 1954. He was a printer for Fort Orange Press in Albany for over 20 years, before retiring in the early 1990's. He enjoyed fishing, boating, playing cards, and watching old western movies.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Ann M. Stewart; his son, Michael R. (Kristin) Stewart; his stepchildren, Daniel P. (Tammy) Ryan and Cheryl A. DiScipio; 9 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie.
Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Schenectady, 1411 Union St., Schenectady, NY 12308 in memory of Robert R. Stewart.
