GUILDERLAND, NY – Albert J. Dwyer, Jr., 63, passed away on Tuesday, November 2, 2010, surrounded by his loving family, after a brief illness. Born in Jacksonville, FL, he is the beloved son of Albert J. and Virginia Dwyer, Sr. of Guilderland. Al worked for Verizon, retiring in 1994. After retiring, he worked as a telecommunications consultant. He was an avid outdoorsman, hunter and fisherman and an active member of many fishing and wildlife associations. Al loved the New York Mets, and especially enjoyed picnics and barbeques with family and friends. In addition to his beloved parents, Al is survived by his devoted wife of 35 years, Linda M. (Wagoner) Dwyer. He is the cherished father of Kelly (Jason) Crevison of Monson, MA and Jamie (Joshua) Grafton of Baytown, TX. Al is the loving brother of Robert (Rose) Dwyer of Guilderland and Pamela (Dominick) Cervoni of Schenectady. He is the nephew of Aunt Mary and Aunt Janet Fisch. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews as well as his faithful canine companion, Maggie.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. at Christ the King Church, Guilderland. Calling hours will be Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). The parish family of Christ the King will gather at 4:30 p.m. at the funeral home for a service of prayer and remembrance. All are welcome. Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie.
