Ellen M. Russell

Albany – Ellen M. Russell, 85, passed away peacefully Monday February 7, 2011 at St. Peter's Hospice Inn, surrounded by loving family.
Ellen was born in Schenectady, NY the daughter of the late Ralph and Bertha (Courtwright) Teabout. She worked for Albany Medical Center Hospital for 27 years before retiring, after which she worked at Albany County Department of Aging. Ellen was a long time member of the Union Missionary Baptist Church and more recently the Antioch Fellowship Christian Center. She was predeceased by her husband Raymond Russell, Jr.
She is survived by her children: Dolores (Anthony) Russell-Bussey Randy (Nona) Russell, Michael Russell, Kim Russell-Fennel and Stefan Ruessell, 41 grandchildren, 86 great-grandchildren and 37 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her children: Rosalyn Banks, Ellen (Donnie) Russell, Raymond Russell III, Richard Russell, Sharon Russell and Carol Russell and two brothers Ralph and Richard Teabout.
The funeral service will be Friday 1:00pm at Union Missionary Baptist Church 3 Morton Ave., Albany. Calling hours will precede the service from 11:00am to 1:00pm at the church. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park, Schenectady.
