Brian D. Hickey

d. February 3, 2011

COLONIE – Brian D. Hickey, 51, was called home by our Lord on Thursday, February 3, 2011.
Born in Albany, Brian is the son of John F. Hickey of Saratoga Springs and the late Josephine (Sastinsky) Hickey. Brian was a graduate of Schuylerville Central School in 1977, then moved on to SUNY Delhi. As a teenager, he achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, and went on to serve in the US Army.
Brian was an accomplished chef, who loved to cook for his family. He had a great love of 50's music, Irish music, bagpipes, and Monty Python. He loved to make people laugh, and enjoyed life. Thanks to Northway Church, Brian came back to Jesus. Attending Sunday services was a highlight of his week.
Brian leaves behind his beloved wife, Marjory (Williamson) Hickey; his son, Chris Harmon of Carrboro, NC; his daughters, Colleen (Phil) Movsovich of Syracuse and Karyne Golden of Schenectady; and his granddaughter, Marina Bianchi of Schenectady, whom he admired and loved very much.
Our deep appreciation and gratitude goes to Colonie EMT and the staff at Ellis Hospital.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. A calling hour will precede the service from 12 to 1 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
