ROUND LAKE – Oakley W. Whitbeck, Jr, 70, passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Middleburgh, NY he was the son of the late Oakley W. and Mable Whitbeck Sr. Oakley was a member of the Round Lake Fire Dept. and past vice-president and president of the Round Lake Hose Company.
He is the beloved husband and partner of forty-six years to Lois J. Whitbeck. Oakley is the devoted father of Jessica, Marc and the late Robert. He is the brother of Jessica White and brother-in-law of Cynthia Amash and Steven and Theresa Taite. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at the Round Lake Fire Dept. Memorial contributions would be appreciated to the Round Lake Hose Company, 3 Curry Road, Round Lake, NY 12151 in memory of Oakley W. Whitbeck Jr.
