A. Don Mentiply

Donald Mentiply, 77, passed away on Friday, November 30, 2018 at Ellis Hospital, with his loving family by his side.

Don was the son of the late Alexander Lees and Pearl (Law) Mentiply.

Don was the devoted husband for over 49 years to Sandra Mentiply.

Don was a life member of the Stanford Heights Fire Dept and served as Assistant Chief.

He was a pilot and enjoyed flying. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, SCUBA diver and loved being at their camp on lake George.
He enjoyed traveling to Crystal River, Florida in the winters, with his wife and spending time with his family and friends.

Don is survived by his wife, Sandy. He is the proud father of Donald (Jennifer) Mentiply, and adored grandfather of Samantha Ann Mentiply.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, December 8th, 2018 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. A funeral service will follow the calling hours at 12:00 pm at the funeral home . Entombment will follow the service at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Stanford Heights Fire Department, 2240 Central Ave., Schenectady, NY 12304 or to the American Heart Association, 4 Atrium Drive Albany, NY 12205 in Don's memory.
