Aaron C. Weisenburn

COLONIE – Aaron C. Weisenburn, 42, passed away on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at St. Peter's Hospice Inn with his loving wife, Helen, by his side. Aaron was the cherished son of Amy V. (Weisenburn) Hagen and the late Elwood G. (E.G.) Weisenburn.

Aaron was the beloved husband and soul mate of Helen M. (Waters) Weisenburn. He is survived by his loving siblings, Constance A. Weisenburn, and Matthew J. and Luke T. Deleskiewicz. Aaron is also survived by his loving sister-in-law, Colleen M. (Waters) Fratianni and brother-in-law, John L. Waters. Aaron was the devoted uncle of Nathaniel J. Weisenburn (Samantha) , Cathleen (Chuck) Peter, Jay, and Evan Fratianni, and great-uncle of Emma Jane Peter. He will be greatly missed by his treasured aunts, uncles and cousins. He will be missed by his beloved dog, Otis.

Aaron was employed by CSX Transportation at the Selkirk rail yard and was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers (BLE). Aaron served in the United States Marine Corps (1990-1994), serving with the Special Task Force. He was a war veteran and was honorably discharged for his service to his country.
Aaron loved the outdoors, and was an avid motorcyclist. He was a member of the Freedom Riders MC. He attended church services at the Olde Liberty Baptist Church in Malta.

The family would also like to thank the nurses and staff at St. Peter's Hospital and, especially, The Hospice Inn.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday at 10:00 am at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Memorial calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Inurnment will be in Memory Gardens, Colonie. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Aaron's honor to the Wounded Warrior Project (www.woundedwarriorproject.org).
