COLONIE – Ada M. Riccardi, 93, entered into eternal life with her family by her side on Monday, May 23, 2011, at the Van Rensselaer Manor. Born in Greenville, NY on June 23, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Bertha (Palmer) Finch. Ada devoted her life to her family as a wife, mother and homemaker. She will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her. Married to the love of her life on April 12, 1947, Ada was a stay-at-home mom who devoted her life to her husband and to raising their five children. Ada was predeceased by her beloved husband of 56 years, Anthony Riccardi, her daughter Karen (Riccardi) Faraone and her son, Raymond Riccardi. She is survived by her three sons, Keith (Darlene) Riccardi of Latham, Thomas (Barbara) Riccardi of Loudonville and Chris (Deborah) Riccardi of Loudonville. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and her son-in-law, Nick (Janet) Faraone of Glen Allen, VA. Ada's family would like to thank all of the wonderful caregivers at Van Rensselaer Manor for their kindness and loving care shown to her during the year and a half she called the Manor her home.
Funeral services will be Friday at 9:30 a.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave) with Rev. Elaine Woroby officiating. Calling hours will be Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memory Gardens, Colonie. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Loudonville Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund, 22 Old Niskayuna Rd., Loudonville, NY 12211 or Community Hospice of Rensselaer, 295 Valley View Blvd., Rensselaer, NY 12144 in memory of Ada M. Riccardi.
