CLIFTON PARK – Adele I. Panella, 69, of Clifton Park, formerly of Albany, passed away peacefully on Thursday September 24, 2009 at St. Peters Hospital.
She was born in Albany and was the daughter of the late Harold and Adele Collins Sr. Adele was employed with Tobin Packing Company and as a deli clerk with Grand Union Markets in Albany for many years. She was known to visit a casino and do some shopping on occasion. Adele enjoyed spending her time with her loving family and friends.
She is the beloved wife of 51 years to Joseph S. Panella. She is the devoted mother of Dena (Kevin) Hazzard and Michael Panella (Gigi Chrysogelos). Adele is the cherished sister of Harold Collins, Dolores Lather, Edwin, John, Fred, Deena, Bruce and Joseph Collins, Mary Sue Capasso and the late Ronald and Robert Collins and Carol Moreland. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at St. Peter's Hospital, ER, ICU And 4th floor for all of their kind and compassionate care of Adele.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Adele's life on Monday morning at 10:30 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie. There will be no calling hours.
