Adeline Fredericks, 89, passed away Thursday July 16, 2009 at Teresian House.
Adeline was born in Batu Gajah, Malaysia, the daughter of the late Michael and Florence Fernandez. She was one of thirteen siblings. When they had retired, Adeline and her husband Robert emigrated to the United States in 1981 to live with their daughter. Robert passed away in 1993. Adeline and Robert had worked as clerks for the federal government of Malaysia.
A primary goal of Adeline's was to ensure that her children received an excellent education. As a loving family person, she regularly corresponded with her extended family around the world. Her Christmas baking was legendary amongst her family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter Marcelle (Leo) Loomie, her son Colin (Shelly) Fredericks and her two grandchildren: Leo Loomie (Vanessa) and Jillian Fredericks.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Infant of Prague Chapel at Teresian House, 200 Washington Ave. Ext., Albany, NY 12203, at 11:00am Thursday, July 23. A calling hour will precede the service from 10:00 to 11:00am. Memorial contributions may be made to Teresian House. Interment in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands, NY.
