Adria J. Praga

COLONIE – Adria J. Praga, 89, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, July 20, 2012, with her loving family by her side. Born in Rensselaer, she was the daughter of the late McClellan and Frances (Boody) Dyer and was predeceased by her beloved husband of more than sixty years, Joseph B. Praga. Adria was a life member of the Fuller Road Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary and a member of the Hart Social Center.

Adria is the devoted mother of Judy Dober of Gansevoort, Sandy (Robert) Coulter of Niskayuna and Lyn (Thomas) Tobin of Colonie. She is the cherished grandmother of Robert (Daniela) and Michael (Krysten) Coulter, Colleen (John) Clausson, Erinn Tobin, Meghan (Morty) Gudelsky and step granddaughter, Shari (Mick) Meehan. Adria is the loving great-grandmother of Lily, Tommy and Adria Coulter and Grace and Nick Meehan. She is the sister of Frances Hotaling and sister-in-law of Anna Praga and Marilyn Praga. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Adria was predeceased by her brothers William and Everett Dyer, her sisters Beulah Moshier and Pearl Kelly and her son-in-law, Steve Nilsen.


Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will be Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
