Adrienne E. Harvey

With heavy hearts we announce that Adrienne Esther Harvey of Guilderland, NY, passed from this life on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at Albany Medical Center. The oldest of six siblings she was born in Baltimore, MD, on June 8, 1936, the daughter of the late Ruth and Adrian Robinson.

She will be remembered as a sweet caring woman that was often so concerned with the needs of everyone else that she would hardly ever ask for anything she needed for herself. A mother of four, and at 88 years old still had a young spirit and always wanted to be doing something, even though she suffered physical limitations near the end.

This beloved woman had a full career as an employee of Blue-Cross Blue Shield in Delmar, NY, and after retiring, ran a small grocery delivery business well before that popular trend came into existence. She had several regular customers who had limited mobility, so it really became more of a favor for them out of concern for their welfare than for an income.

One of her lifelong favorite hobbies was sewing. She made all sorts of clothes and performed alterations for family members. She loved to travel with her husband and mother until they passed. The three would travel together frequently and wouldn’t travel anywhere without each other.

Adrienne leaves behind four children Lynn (Gerald), Charles, Jr, Gregory (Robin) and Rosalie; grandchildren Latisha, Alexandra, Olivia, Gregory, and Emanuel; great-grandchildren Mikala, and twins Mariah and Maya, along with brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews, in-laws and friends.

She was predeceased by her husband Chuck, mother Ruth, sister Marcia, and brother James.

Adrienne will be sorely missed by her family and friends.

In keeping with her final wishes, the family will be organizing a celebration of life which will be appropriately organized virtually, with more specifics to be announced.
