ALBANY, NY – Agatha (Aggie) Del Vecchio, 82, a long time resident of Albany, died peacefully at St. Peter's Hospital on Tuesday, July 1, 2008, after a brief illness. She was the only daughter of the late Joseph and Jenny Del Vecchio. Miss Del Vecchio was born in Syracuse and later lived in Oneonta through her tenth year of high school. The family relocated to Albany and she graduated from Philip Schuyler High School with honors. She was employed at the McKesson & Robbins, Inc. Wholesale Druggist (Albany Division) located on Broadway for 14 years, and was well known by many pharmacists in the tri-city area. Later, she worked for the State of New York and various temporary services. Aggie was always active in bicycling and tennis throughout her life. She sang and was a devoted member of St. Teresa's Church. Aggie is survived by a dear cousin's daughter from Syracuse, Tracy Miller and her husband, John and their son Trevor. She also leaves behind her life-long friends, Ginny Donahue, Grace Campbell, Minnie Glusko and Dolly and Pat DiCiaccio. With her outgoing, humorous personality, she will be missed by her many loving friends.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie. There will be no calling hours.
