Agatina Pinto

Agatina Pinto, 87, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 3, 2016 at the Teresian House.

Agatina was the daughter of the late Antonino Bongiorno and Domenica (DiPietro) Bongiorno.

She was the devoted wife of over 59 years, to Luigi Pinto.

Agatina was a member of and a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church for many years.

She worked for many years with the Office of General Services in Albany until her retirement in 1994.

She enjoyed cross stitching and cooking for her family.

In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her siblings; Joe, Concetta, Maria and Santa Bongiorno all of Sicily; her half sister, Domenica Ritmo of Albany.

In addition to her husband, Luigi, Agatina is survived by her son, Joseph (Esterina "Josie") Pinto, of Niskayuna. She is the sister of Carmela Bongiorno of Sicily and Nina Bongiorno of Germany. She is the adored grandmother of Dr. Romina Pinto Doyle and her husband Dr. Dennis Doyle, of Carmel NY and Lorietana Pinto and her husband Kyle Provenzano of Niskayuna. She is also survived by her two great grandchildren, Nolan and Giacomo Doyle and several nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie.

A Funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2016 at 8:00 am at the funeral home and then to Blessed Sacramant Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:00 am. Entombment will follow the service at Everygreen Memorial Park, Schenectady, NY.
