Ailsa E. Paige

Colonie- Ailsa E. (Bailey) Paige, age 87, passed away on August 1, 2015 at St. Peter's Hospital. The daughter of the late Ivan R. Viola (Mergenthaler) Bailey, she was born on August 29, 1927 in Oneida, NY. Ailsa resided in Colonie for more than 50 years. She was employed by the NYS Department of Labor for 25 years. She had a love for travelling and was always donating to various charities.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Edward L. Paige and her siblings: Jean Farrell, Louis E. Bailey, and Richard Ivan (Eleanor) Bailey.
Ailsa is mother to Douglas Paige, Steve (Julie) Paige, Kathy (the late Lynn) Newland, Merilee (Marshall) Roberts, Denise Lively, Edwards L. (Lisa) Paige, Jr., Thomas J. (fiancée Patricia Lester) Paige; 16 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 pm on Friday, August 14 at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. A funeral service will be held at 10am on Saturday, August 15 at St. Michael's Episcopal Church, Colonie. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park.
