Selkirk- Alan D. Foster, 74, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 with his loving family by his side. He was the son of the late Harold and Rosemarie Foster (Genua). He was pre-deceased by his sister Carole V. Perricone (Foster) and brother John Foster.

Alan was the devoted husband to Diana M. Foster (Messenger). They were married 44 years. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his nieces Evelyn Perricone and Carolyn Giambalvo (Perricone), and his nephew Frank J. Perricone, Jr.

Alan enjoyed spending time with his entire family and his two cats Kato and Minnie. He loved fishing. Alan was an artist, musician, and songwriter. He enjoyed playing at local venues.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet, New York 12189 on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm with a funeral service to begin at 6pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Alan's name the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Ave, Menands, NY 12204.
