Alan Golden

COLONIE – Alan G. Golden, 52, of Colonie, passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2005 at his home. He was born in Albany and was the son of the late William and Delores Golden. Al took great pride and enjoyed his position as Government Inspector for the Federal Railroad Administration, where he made many friends. He loved camping and fishing and especially enjoyed spending time with his family. Mr. Golden was an avid N.Y. Yankees fan. Al is the beloved husband of 31 years to Nancy P. (Costigan) Golden. He is the devoted father of Kelly Golden of Long Island, NY and Eric Golden of Colonie. He is the brother of William (Alice) Golden of Troy, Susan Moryl of Colonie, Michael (Annisa) Golden of Maine, Scott (Cindy) Golden, Timothy (Diane) Golden, Daniel Golden, Richard Golden and David (Darlene) Golden all of Latham, Robin (Kevin) Brown of Colonie and Beth (Steve) Roy of Troy. Al is the loving son-in-law of Maria Costigan of Latham and brother-in-law of William (Carolyn) Costigan of North Carolina and Anne (Charles) Santino of Wynantskill. He is the godfather of Steve Roy, Jr. Also surviving are several loving nieces and nephews. Al's family would like to extend a special thank you to his nurse, Carol for all of her care and support during his illness.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Wednesday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Funeral services and interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Schenectady, 1411 Union St., Schenectady, NY 12308 in memory of Alan G. Golden.
