Alan (Buddy) L. Joslin, age 82 died at St Peter's hospice inn in Albany, NY on Thursday, February 27, 2020, the cause was due to a stroke related illness. Alan was the son of the late Lawrence and Marie Joslin. He was predeceased by his sister Marion Ford, and his brothers Lawrence (Sonny) Joslin, Donald (Donny) Joslin. Alan was devoted husband to Margaret (Peggy) G. Joslin. They were happily married for 45 years.

Born on August 20 1937 in Boston Massachusetts, where he lived. Later he joined the Navy, where he proudly served on board CVA- 43 USS Coral Sea naval aircraft carrier in the Korean War. Later he relocated to Albany, NY. And became an Albany Firefighter at Engine 7, 23 years of service until retiring.

Alan after retiring spent most of his time beautifying his home, with landscaping, gardening, remodeling, and took walks in the mall and shopping with his wife, having coffee with his all-important friends at the Gateway Dinner in Albany, NY. Most importantly made great efforts to spend quality time to be with his large devoted family. Acknowledging all his close friends that he deeply loved and appreciated

Survivors include his Loving wife, Margaret (Peggy) G. Joslin; Sons, Roderick Joslin of Massachusetts, Edward L Lewis of California, and Kenneth L. Lewis of New York; Brother, Wayne (Linda) Joslin of New Hampshire; His adoring nieces, Marie (Matt) Carbone, Michelle (Paul) Chaves, Stephanie (Bob) Rodrick and Kelly (Christopher) Thellen.

His Loving grandchildren of Son Rodrick (Erin) Joslin; Donna, Ricky, Carter, Megan, Courtney, James, Molly, Alexandra, and Matthew. From Son Edward L. (Patricia) Lewis; sons Eddie, Brynley, and Harrison From Son Kenneth L. (Kathy) Lewis Sr.; Melanie Lewis, Alicia (James)Andrews, Kenneth L. (Rachel) Lewis Jr., Bradley L. (Lauren) Lewis, Caleb L. (Stacy) Lewis, Daniel L. Lewis, Jason Stankiewcz, Jennifer (Joshua) Lipka - Thompson.

And his sister in-laws, Betty Nolette, Marion (Howard) Lamphere, Faith (predeceased Bill) Albert, Larry Albert and all his wonderful nieces and nephews, especially his nephew, Michael Albert for all his help when ever needed. Also, his lovely 17 Great grandchildren of whom he has now the pleasure of being with his predeceased grandsons Theodore Lloyd Lewis, and Sylas Gabriel Lewis now he can finally enjoy!

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals Colonie, 343 New Karner Road, Albany, New York on Saturday, March 7, 2020 from 2:00 pm to 3:00pm. A funeral Service will be held at 3:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to Margaret Joslin to offset the cost of the sprinkling of Alan's ashes in the Atlantic Ocean at a later date, all according to Alan's wishes.
