Alana Rose Harris

Alana Rose Harris 19, of Albany, New York passed away Monday, March 25th, 2024 at Albany Medical Center after a lifelong battle with Muscular Dystrophy with her family by her side.

Born April 5, 2004 in Albany, New York she was the daughter of Anthony & Marion Harris, and birth mother Danielle Harris.

Alana was a 2022 graduate of Albany High School. She enjoyed her annual trips to the Double H Ranch. It was the place she held near and dear to her heart. From the staff to the friends she made, this was her happy place where she experienced fun activities, nature, and lifelong memories. She would love to share stories and friendships she made while attending her summer camp. Alana was a HUGE animal lover. She would always have a big smile on her face when an animal was near, especially her family dog, Ace. She was also your typical teenage girl with much love for music, swimming, shopping, chatting on her phone, and spending time with her family. She will be missed by many.

Alana is survived by her parents Anthony & Marion Harris and her birth mother Danielle Harris. She is also survived by her sibling's Atiana Harris, Luis Harris, and Elias Rodriquez. Her aunts and uncles who adored her Stephanie (Danny)DiTonno, Anthony (Victoria)Harris and Amanda Harris. Her cousins Daniel & Tyler DiTonno, Greyson DiTonno, Sophie Harris and Semar Wimberly.

Alana is predeceased by her brother Carlyle "CJ" Harris who also lost his battle to Muscular Dystrophy.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Albany, NY on Thursday April 4th, 2024 from 11am-1pm. A funeral service will follow at 1pm. Interment will follow service at Evergreen Memorial Park, Schenectady, NY.
