Albert "Bert"S. Udell

CLARKSVILLE – Albert "Bert" S. Udell, 86, entered into eternal life on Friday, July 13, 2012 at the Good Samaritan Lutheran Health Care Center with his loving children at his side.
Born in Albany and raised in Clarksville, Bert was the beloved son of the late Isaac and Millie (Stott) Udell.
Bert is survived by his loving children, Susan Rooney, Barry (Janine) Udell, Cindy (Steve) Demarest and Cheryl Udell; eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; his sister, Shirley Loucks; many nieces and nephews and his loving bird, My Girl. He was predeceased by his brother and sister-in-law, Russell and Dorothy Udell and his sister, Gloria McBride.
Bert worked on the family farm for several years and retired from Conrail Railroad where he worked for over 30 years.
Bert loved NASCAR racing and enjoyed hunting, gardening, camping, traveling and dancing.
His family thanks the staff at the Community Hospice of Albany and the caring staff at Good Samaritan.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Monday at the Clarksville Community Church, 1997 Delaware Tpke., Clarksville. A calling hour will precede the service from 11 am to 12 noon at the church on Monday. Interment will follow the service at the Onesquethaw Union Cemetery in Feura Bush.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Clarksville Community Church, 1997 Delaware Tpke., Clarksville, NY 12041 or to the Mohawk and Hudson River Humane Society, 3 Oakland Ave., Menands, NY 12204 in memory of Albert S. Udell.
