DELANSON- Albert R. Burkhart III (Rich), age 59, passed away at home on May 3, 2023.
He was born in Port Chester, the son of Albert R. Burkhart Jr. and Helga M. Burkhart.
Albert graduated from DeVry Technical Institute and became a union electrician with IBEW Local 236.
He enjoyed all things outdoors: hunting, fishing, camping, canoeing and his dogs, Oakley and Tennessee.
Besides his parents, Albert is survived by his wife of 31 years, Chandra Lee Burkhart; his children: Emma L. Burkhart and Albert R. Burkhart IV; and sisters: Kristina Reilly and Catherine Burkhart. Also survived by five nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his calling hours on Sunday May 14, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. to 3 p.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, NY 12205. All are invited to attend his funeral service at the funeral home at 3 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Landis Arboretum, PO Box 186, 174 Lape Rd., Esperance, NY 12066 would be greatly appreciated, as Rich loved his trees and the outdoors.
