CLIFTON PARK – Albert E. Hodgkinson, of Clifton Park , age 90, passed on to his eternal reward to join his late beloved wife, Mary Joan Conway, who died September 29, 2009.
Mr Hodgkinson graduated in 1938 as an officer from La Salle Institute in Troy. He cofounded Troy Sanitary Supply Company where he worked until 1983 when he sold it to American Chemical & Equipment Company, then began his retirement. He will be remembered for his love of golf, driving beautiful car and singing Frank Sinatra songs. His sense of humor was ever present and enjoyed by everyone who knew him.
Thank You to all the wonderful staff at Schuyler Ridge Nursing Home in Clifton Park where his was encouraged to play his music and sing daily.
He is the father of nine children; Edward and Augusta Hodgkinson of Bolton Landing, Joan Ann and Albert Fissette of Ballston Lake, John and Larisa Hodgkinson of Clifton Park, Michele and Frederick Kiesel of Vero Beach, FL., Rosemary and Amos Sorel of Albany, Daniel and Mia Hodgkinson of Colonie, Deborah and Hugh McDonald of Yorktown Heights, NY, Michael and Nancy Hodgkinson of Clifton Park and the late Patricia De Benedetto. He leaves 21 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.
At the request of the family services were private. He was interred next to his wife of 68 years in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Watervliet.
